2027 Nissan Juke EV Preview – Going All-Electric with Bold New Styling

By Steve Laser

Nissan detailed plans for an exciting array of new and enhanced vehicles and technologies during a long-term vision presentation in Japan on April 14.

Two Global Core models that it plans to introduce for 2027 include a new, all-electric Juke (above left), and new X-Trail/Rogue with Hybrid e-POWER technology.

The all-new, third-generation Juke will become the first all-electric version in the model’s lengthy history. Juke has been a popular compact SUV in Europe, where more than 1.5 million units have been sold since the first generation was launched in 2010.

Juke will join an expanding lineup of EVs that Nissan offers in Europe, including the new Micra, LEAF, Ariya, and Townstar LCV, along with a new planned A-segment EV.

The new Juke will ride on the CMF-EV platform (shared with LEAF and Ariya) and gain a bold and distinctive design. It’s planned to be built at the Nissan Sunderland Plant in the UK, with retail launch in spring 2027. Product details are expected to be announced by Nissan closer to the vehicle’s introduction.

Hyper Punk Concept

The new Juke is said to be based on the “Hyper Punk” concept (below). This creative concept made its debut at the Japan Mobility Show in 2023.

Featuring multifaceted and polygonal exterior surfaces, Hyper Punk was an all-electric, next-generation compact crossover designed for those who embrace style and innovation.

Note: Features, specifications, and launch timing for the future European-market Juke is subject to change without notice.
