Our goal is to keep you informed of industry trends and bring you our latest comprehensive reviews of new cars, trucks and SUVs based on our extensive experience test-driving and reporting on more than 500 vehicles during the past 25 years.

As a lifelong automotive enthusiast, Steve was raised in the car crazy culture of Southern California. With a degree in communications, he pursued his dream of becoming an automotive journalist and reporter. During the past 25 years, Steve’s vehicle reviews have appeared in Car and Driver, Road & Track and Motor Trend car buyer’s guides, Road & Track’s Sports & GT Cars, Open Road – the 4WD Adventure Magazine, and Autos & Parts News. He is the founder and editor of the automotive website CarNichiWa.com.

Tamami LaserManaging Editor

Born and raised in Japan, she spends time in the driver’s and passenger’s seats of every car that we test and contributes to our reviews. As Managing Editor, Tamami also handles the business side of CarNichiWa.com. She has attended nearly every Tokyo Motor Show press preview since 1993. In addition to cars, Tamami devotes her time to care for four-footed furry friends rescued from animal shelters.

Nahoko is an incredible woman who pursues her lifelong passion for sports with gusto. Whether she’s surfing the waves or driving the twisty mountain roads in Central Japan, she inspires virtually everyone she meets. Her favorite surfing spots are Sennichi Loko Point and Akabane in Aichi, Ho’okipa in Paia on Maui, the North Shore of Oahu, and Manhattan Beach, California. Nahoko’s favorite ride is the Toyota Noah while her dream car is a vintage Volkswagen Microbus. Both offer plenty of space to transport her boards and gear.

Craig Nicol – Contributor

65 CorvetteAs a multifaceted automotive writer, photographer and gearhead, Craig has the ability to put highly complex technical topics into simple terms. He’s equally at home writing about the latest automotive technologies, photographing a vintage sports car or riding a dirt bike on a mountain trail.
