Last year, Honda celebrated the 30th anniversary of the CR-V. Since 1995, more than 15 million units have been sold worldwide. This year, Honda is introducing the sixth-generation CR-V to the Japan market.
CR-V models for Japan include the e:HEV RS, and the market-exclusive e:HEV RS Black Edition. Both are powered by a 2.0-liter direct-injection Atkinson-cycle engine and two-motor hybrid system. The RS offers front- and AWD models, while the Black Edition is AWD only.
Honda Access is offering a new lineup of accessories for the CR-V in Japan that enhance and customize the appearance. Accessory themes include Tough Premium (shown above and below) and Urban Premium.
The Front Lower Skirt design upgrades the character of the CR-V, with an integrated, custom look, featuring Lunar Silver Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl accents. The trapezoidal design is said to evoke the image of a mountain peak.
Tough Premium exterior accessories continue with a Side Lower Garnish that’s said to create a 3D gear-like appearance. It’s color coordinated with Lunar Silver Metallic.
The Tailgate Spoiler, another neat accessory for the CR-V, is dressed in Crystal Black Pearl. Note that Honda Access genuine accessories are offered at Honda Cars dealers throughout Japan.
Also available is a Fender Garnish in Berlina Black and Chrome, alloy wheel center cap with a Black Chrome finish, mudguards, and door visors.
Finishing touches for the CR-V’s exterior include black chrome emblems for the rear, with the “H” logo, model identification, and e:HEV.
A variety of interior accessories offered for the CR-V in Japan from Honda Access include a side step garnish, LED pattern projector, rear panel lining cover illumination, carpeted floor mats, all-season mats, and luggage tray.
