Toyota is bringing a family of new Woodland Concept vehicles to the 2026 SEMA show this week. The adventure-ready project vehicles include customized versions of the bZ, RAV4, Crown Signia, Sienna, and Grand Highlander.
All five concepts share common modifications and ride on what appear to be regular production model vehicles that span Toyota’s current lineup of electrified powertrains, from gas-engine hybrid (HEV), to plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and fully electric (BEV). While Toyota already offers Woodland Editions of some of its models, the auto show projects go further.
Like its Woodland Concept siblings, Toyota’s bZ electric SUV (above) is dressed with an exterior color called Horizon Blue, a retro-hue said to be inspired by the 1960s-era Toyota Crown, Corona, and Stout. Two-tone treatments on the hood, roof, and other components add a modern touch.
An array of outdoor-style accessories, like the ones shown on the RAV4 Woodland Concept (above), include roof racks with crossbars, fender flares, satin-black alloy wheels fitted with all-terrain tires, lift kits, and more.
Minivans can look cool too, especially if they’re dressed like the Sienna Woodland Concept (above). Toyota says that each of the concepts reflect the automaker’s approach to “blending utility, efficiency, comfort, and capability in ways that support getting out, staying longer, and carrying more of what matters.”
The Woodland concepts, including the Crown Signia (above) were created by CALTY Design Research, Toyota’s North American automotive design studio, with offices in Newport Beach, Calif., and Ann Arbor, Mich. CALTY was established way back in 1973, and has focused on production designs and motor show concepts for a wide variety of Toyota and Lexus vehicles.
SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) trade show is scheduled for Nov. 3-6 in Las Vegas
Note: Special project prototype vehicles are shown in this story that are modified with parts and/or accessories not available from Toyota
