So there we were, out for our morning walk when a car completely covered with camouflage drove by. “Honey, did you see that?” he said. “Yes, and you’re going to ask me what kind of car it was,” she replied. Well, neither of us had a clue and we thought that was the end of the story.
We kept walking until we reached a public parking lot…and guess what was parked there? Yes, it was our lucky day. First, we want to come right out and say that we are not spies. We don’t sit in bushes or camp out in trees waiting for camouflaged cars to drive by.
Every now and then we see something weird driving on the street that catches our attention. And as editors of a website about cars, and especially new and interesting cars from across the globe, we want to share our experiences with you. So with all these thoughts in mind, we took out our phones and started taking pictures.
The encounter lasted less than two minutes and the mystery car drove away. What was it? After analyzing the photos all evening, the answer is, “We don’t know.” The camouflaged car was wearing a Michigan Manufacturer license plate, yet that could belong to just about any car company since most have engineering facilities in the Great Lake State.
It appears to be a midsize sedan, and we heard an engine running so it’s not a pure EV. We didn’t hear telltale hybrid sounds, so it’s a gas or diesel powered something.
We always carry our phones with us because we never know what we’re going to see next driving on the street.
