The new Toyota GAZOO Racing GR GT exotic sports car, and its GR GT3 racing sibling, are expected to go into production sometime next year. However, starting April 10, lucky customers who purchase a Happy Meal® at McDonald’s restaurants in Japan may become the first owners of a GR GT3 – thanks to Tomica toys.
Toyota GAZOO Racing is collaborating with McDonald’s in Japan to offer the new Tomica GR GT3 miniature model as a Happy Meal® gift. The toy features design cues from the full-scale racing car, including a long wheelbase, wide body, huge rear wing, side exhaust, and large fender louvers. It also includes attractive GR and McDonald’s livery.
The GR GT3 by Tomica is scheduled to be available with a Happy Meal® from April 10 – 23. During that time, three other Tomica models will be available, including the Toyota TownAce Hamburger Car. One toy is said to be included randomly from the total of four models.
Phase 2 of the Happy Meal® promotion, that runs from April 24 – May 7, includes four other Tomica models, plus a “Secret Toy” (with a silhouette that looks like another variation of the GR GT3). Phase 3 is scheduled to start on May 8, and features nine different toys, including the GR GT3, plus a secret toy.
Additional elements of the GR and McDonald’s Japan collaboration include a “Dream Match” video, and a GR GT3 “Wrapping Design Contest”, where participants can create their own dream wrapping designs for the GR GT3.

Additional Notes: The Happy Meal “Tomica” toy is available while supplies last. Toys are given out randomly and customers cannot choose which one they receive. The promotion is planned for approximately five weeks starting April 10, 2026. Each toy is available in limited quantities and will be discontinued once supplies run out.
