2026 Lexus RZ Preview – New Special Edition RZ 600e F SPORT Performance

By Steve Laser

Lexus has announced a new Special Edition for the RZ all-electric SUV lineup in Japan. Called the RZ 600e F SPORT Performance, the BEV gains an array of product enhancements and modifications to energize its dynamic driving character and sporty good looks.

While the Special Edition is based on the RZ 550e F SPORT, that gained a redesigned battery system and steer-by-wire technology, it features extensive aero exterior mods evolved from the RZ 450e F SPORT Performance, introduced last year in a limited run of 100 units.

Starting with a ride height lowered by 20mm, Lexus adds Special Edition carbon exterior components including dual rear wings, lower front and rear tuning vanes, large wheel arch moldings, and spoilers in the front, sides and rear.

Additional sporty exterior treatments include carbon headlamp bezels, hood scoop, and lower door moldings. Exterior color choices offer Black and Hakugin II with blue accents, and available Black and Neutrino Gray.

The Special Edition rides on 21-inch ENKEI® matte black alloy wheels wrapped with 255/40R21 tires up front and 295/35R21 in the rear. Front opposed six-piston aluminum monoblock blue brake calipers with the Lexus logo, plus Performance Damper® in the front and rear, are also included.

Combined output for the dual electric motors gives the Special Edition 313 kW (425.5 PS), with an estimated cruising range of 525 km, and 0-100 km/h acceleration of 4.4 seconds. System output tops the revised standard RZ model range, with 300 kW (407.8 PS) for the RZ 550e F SPORT, 250 kW (339.9 PS) for the RZ 500e Version L, and 165 kW (224.3 PS) for the RZ 350e Version L (FWD).

Inside, F SPORT Performance Ultrasuede® sport seats feature Special Edition black with blue stitching, along with standard driver’s seat position memory, and ventilated front seats. The seats are crafted with an integrated foam molding process for comfort during daily drives and added support during sporty driving.

Like the RZ 550e F SPORT, the Special Edition receives a yoke-style steering wheel designed for steer-by-wire, and DIRECT4 AWD. It’s teamed with Interactive Manual Drive linked with drive modes, and includes paddle shifters with an “8-speed virtual transmission.” Special Edition blue accents are added to the instrument panel, while the dial-type shift selector has black with blue accents. A 14-inch touchscreen and Mark Levinson® Premium Surround Sound System are also included.

The Special Edition RZ 600e F SPORT Performance is planned to go on sale at Lexus dealers in Japan starting in March 2026.

Note: Features, specifications, and launch timing for Japan market models is subject to change without notice.
