New Lexus F Sport Trainers Crafted by Walsh – Wrap Your Feet with Sporty Style

By Steve & Tamami Laser

You can wrap your car to change its appearance and stand out on the street. You can wrap your car’s wheels with performance tires to help improve handling. What if you could wrap your feet in the comfort and style of automotive upholstery inspired by a Lexus F Sport Hybrid?

Lexus has teamed with premium UK footwear manufacturer Norman Walsh to create the hand-crafted limited-edition Sport Trainers inspired by the CT 200h F Sport.

Like the hybrid hatchback’s cabin, the new footwear is trimmed with bright red perforated leather and black suede with contrasting stitching while a leather tab featuring the Lexus logo is affixed to one set of laces.

While designing the shoe, the creative team at Walsh decided to use real leather upholstery for the Sport Trainers. The company, founded in 1961, hand assembles its products at its factory in Bolton, UK.

To help celebrate its collaboration with Walsh and promote the new shoes, Lexus had the exterior of this CT F Sport wrapped with a graphic design that echoes the Sport Trainers.

The Lexus CT 200h F Sport features a metallic black mesh spindle grille, unique design 17-inch alloy wheels, F Sport steering wheel and aluminum pedals, plus F Sport front seats with leather upholstery.

While the CT is no longer offered in the U.S., Lexus upgraded models for Europe, Japan, and other markets for 2018 with refreshed styling, newly available safety features, a revised interior, and the introduction of the F Sport model. Lexus has sold more than 300,000 units since the CT was launched in 2011.
